Make a Choice

It seems that as our technology ever grows, and the available information increases, our attention grows ever thinner than it ever has been before. With social media our time is getting eaten into at an ever increasing rate. Hours are withered away through doom scrolling and browsing about news at an unbelievable pace.

At times I may sit at the TV, Ipad, Game console and feel an ever pulling anxiety on my shoulder. Am I doing the right thing with my time at this moment? Should I watch a different show? Read a book? play a certain video game or another, or even scroll endlessly online to look for…to look for what exactly?

That pull of whether I am doing the right thing at the moment has loosened for me lately. There will always be many things that I'll never get around to and I will make incorrect choices. However that is in no way inherently a bad thing. It is good to choose wisely and be precise in your decisions but to simply just make a choice to begin with is a far greater start than to make no decision at all.

To make a choice, whether wrong or right. By doing this you are able to edge closer to what it is that will get you to where you would like to end up. Stop overthinking which story to write, just write a story. Don't sweat it too much about what is the right career move. Try out different ones till you find a fit. Growth only happens when you decide to make a choice, a leap of faith and see how things play out.
